END OF LIFE

I watched the postmortem of Senator Kennedy tonight and wish his surviving family my deepest condolences. I was reading Joe Biden's book "Promises to Keep" and it told of an incident about Ted. Joe's first wife was in a traffic accident which sadly took her life along with his infant daughter. Senator Biden hadn't taken office yet and was of course heart broken (I can't even imagine how badly he felt). The whole Senate rallyed to Biden's side (things where different in '72). President Nixon called every day. His work in the Senate was "taken care of" but the only man to come to see Senator Biden was Ted Kennedy. He showed up unannounced at his home in Delaware. He wanted to see Joe and "do" something for him, anything I imagine. Senator Kennedy will be missed. The U.S. SENATE is a body of people that breeds courage, statesmanship and other qualities this country overlooks commonly.

red candle

Today I learned I would have a procedure (medically). I might live...probably will not but who cares. I must wait some time to have this thing happen and I don't like it one bit. This candle hes nothing to do with me . I thought it would be a good subject for a 4"x6" water color. I hope you like it. I do have one rant though....why is it that some states require health insurance companys to cover outside of deductables or co-pay the cost of diagnostic procedures and some don't. I think I know why. In ohio the legislature is owned by the insurance companys. Insurance companys would rather not cover this little gift from God because the few positive results found by emergency rooms is cheaper than the cost checking so many people. What they don't understand is if everyone was checked for free or at a nominal price the cost of these procedures would be reduced to such a small price it would save them millions of dollars in claims. This is why I would like the federal government to have a larger role in funding the medical business.

boat on the water

My pitiful effort to paint a picture shall be showing up here periotically. Please don't laugh! I have learned one thing in trying to express myself pictorially and that is: it's about the process not the outcome. When one goes to work in the real world it's about the outcome. No one pays real money for yardage. But when I get home I feel it's time for me. I do what I want to do. No matter how foolish it might seem. This bit of foolishness was inspired by one of the great masters paintings in a book I bought. It is not an exact copy (that would be rude). But I enjoy doing it. I enjoy several types of media but I only buy the cheapest paint or canvas available. With no recognizable talent it seem correct. Try to have fun.

My first post.

We are only here for a short visit. Don't hurry. Don't worry. And don't forget to smell the flowers along the way.

Welcome to my blog.

This tome...this vessel...this pontoon is dedicated to the human spirit or life in no lane at all. Dying is easy comedy is hard. It's 9:44 and people are still stupid. My life is crap but over too soon. The food in this place is just terrible but there is plenty of it. I don't how I got to this place and the road was very bumpy but here I am. the wonder of it all....the weird directions...the shear size of a human life is incredible but so very small and insignifigant both at the same time. Mind boggling isn't it. I'm trying to come up with something important or at least correct in some way. But I can't...I can barely chew gum and walk at the same time. I have learned little in my time mostly smugness and insincereity. I'll try to do better. But I never will. I'll just keep going one day to the next, hoping it just keeps on going. No major glories or accompishments...no saved lives...no money made...a drag on all around me.
But life is no joke and to those who think it is have learned even less than me. This is deep.

I don't express myself well...I can't sing...my legs are skinny but don't ask me what I think of you I might not give you the answer you want me to.

Pics are coming soon.
